New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices in India remain the same as before today, February 21, 2026. Changes were seen in some cities, while in some places the prices remained the same. Fuel rates are updated every morning at 6 AM based on global crude oil prices, exchange rates, taxes and state levies. Prices vary widely due to various VAT and local factors, with Delhi generally being lowest and Hyderabad and some other places higher.
Across India, petrol usually ranges between around ₹94 to ₹107+ per litre, while diesel is cheaper at ₹87 to ₹95+ per liter depending on the location. For example, in Hyderabad petrol is at ₹107.50 and diesel is also higher. These rates have been quite stable for the last few weeks and in many places for months, the credit for this goes to global oil trends.
Before filling the tank, please check the rate:
If you are filling up petrol, check your local pump or app for the correct figures, as there can be small variations on a daily basis. While factors like crude oil prices and strengthening rupee continue to impact them, low global oil prices help keep pump prices under control.
