Petrol and diesel rates have been updated today, and these prices have a direct impact on everyday life. Every day at 6 am, oil companies release new prices. The effect of international crude oil fluctuations and dollar-rupee changes is clearly visible on the Indian fuel market. This is the reason why common people like to start the day by looking at the petrol and diesel rates today.
Oil companies have also released latest prices on 24 November 2025. It is a matter of relief that there has been no major change in fuel prices today. In many cities of the country, the rates of petrol and diesel have remained almost stable, due to which there has been no additional burden on the budget of the common people.
The rates of November 24 in major cities are as follows – Petrol in New Delhi is ₹ 94.72 and diesel is ₹ 87.62 per liter. In Mumbai, petrol is available at the price of ₹ 104.21 and diesel at ₹ 92.15. Petrol was recorded at ₹103.94 per liter in Kolkata and ₹100.75 per liter in Chennai. Of these, Hyderabad and Mumbai are the cities where petrol is the most expensive, while in Chandigarh both petrol and diesel are the cheapest.
Petrol and diesel rates have remained almost stable for a long time. There has been no major change in fuel prices in the country since the tax cut in May 2022. Even though the prices of crude oil keep going up and down in the international market, Indian consumers are getting the benefit of stable prices.
Oil companies give daily updates, but the actual change in rates is seen only after tax amendments by the government or huge upheavals in the international market. For this reason, petrol and diesel rates have remained the same for a long time, due to which the general public is getting financial relief.
