Today, a decline in the prices of petrol and diesel was recorded in many cities, which brought relief to the drivers. A slight increase was also seen in some cities. Prices remained stable today in major metros like Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata, while cuts were seen in cities like Chennai, Gurugram, Noida and Patna.

There was no change in major cities of the country today. In Delhi, petrol remained stable at Rs 94.77 and diesel at Rs 87.67 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol was priced at Rs 103.50 and diesel at Rs 90.03 per litre. Whereas in Kolkata, the rates of petrol remained at Rs 105.41 and diesel at Rs 92.02 per liter.

Where prices decreased:
Petrol in Chennai became cheaper by Rs 0.10 to Rs 100.80 per liter. Petrol came to Rs 95.51 in Gurugram and Rs 94.87 in Noida. Petrol in Jaipur and Patna was also reduced by Rs 0.24 and Rs 0.24 respectively. Similarly, diesel also became cheaper in many cities – it was recorded at Rs 92.39 per liter in Chennai, Rs 87.97 in Gurugram, Rs 88.01 in Noida and Rs 89.99 per liter in Jaipur.

Where prices increased:
The prices of petrol and diesel have also increased in some cities. In Bhubaneswar, petrol rose by Rs 0.26 to Rs 101.19 and diesel by Rs 0.25 to Rs 92.76 per litre. These increases have had an impact on the pockets of vehicle owners.
