New Delhi . Suzuki has introduced its new XBEE compact crossover at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. This state-of-the-art model is also known by the name “Crosby”. This model is a facelifted version of the older version launched in 2017. The company has made many important changes in this new version, from exterior to interior, making it look more modern and premium than before.
The company’s Z12E petrol engine has been given in the new XBEE, which is also found in the new Swift sold in India. Its design is very similar to India’s Maruti S-Presso, although it is about 200 mm longer than it. The 2025 update gets round headlamps, a new grille with silver garnish, and thick cladding at the bottom. Apart from this, the dual-tone paintwork and new alloy wheels make its looks more attractive. Many improvements are also seen in the interior. It has a new steering wheel, digital instrument cluster and new switchgear on the center console, which are inspired by the new Maruti cars in India. The design of the gear lever is in floating style and the infotainment screen looks like the Jimny.
Despite its compact size, its cabin space has been improved and it has been provided with many smart storage areas. The new Suzuki XBEE is based on the brand’s Heartect platform. Before the facelift, it had a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which has now been replaced by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder mild-hybrid Z12E engine. This engine comes in a front-wheel drive setup with a CVT gearbox. Currently, the XBEE is being sold only in the Japanese market, and the company has no plans to launch it in India.
