Business: Tamil Nadu government has given a big gift to its employees and teachers. Chief Minister MK Stalin announced the increase in Dearness Allowance (DA), which is in line with the rate announced by the Central Government.

DA increased to 58 percent
According to the information, Chief Minister Stalin has ordered to increase the dearness allowance from the current 55 percent to 58 percent from July 1, 2025. This will benefit approximately 16 lakh government employees, teachers and pensioners across the state. Let us tell you that this increase will entail an additional annual expenditure of Rs 1,829 crore on the state government.
